Thank you for taking the time to be a Faculty Tutor for the Integrated Clinical Experience:Health in Community (ICE:HC) curriculum. This component of the program is designed to challenge medical students in years 1 and 2 to understand the social determinants of health, the role of the physician in society, and community engagement. It is a longitudinal two-year curriculum.
In addition to the details provided in the ICE:HC Tutor Manual, below we have provided additional resources for new and continuing tutors.
Prior to each tutorial, there will be faculty development and discussion regarding the upcoming tutorial.
Please check your emails for details and feel free to register below by selecting the appropriate session(s):
All MD Program teachers are asked to become familiar with the following resources when preparing for their teaching roles (1) Psychological Safety and (2) Learner Mistreatment.
The faculty development session, recording, and tutor manual were very helpful. I felt well prepared going into it without prior experience, and I felt well supported at the session, with the just-in-time opportunity for coaching.
